The upcoming hnefatafl game and comic project Cthulhu vs. The Vikings has hit its funding target. It passed the $9,500 target yesterday, and the pledges kept on coming in, breaking the $10,000 barrier this morning. This means the project will get the go-ahead, backers receiving their games and other rewards later this year.

Kristan Wheaton, who heads the project, was delighted, saying "Thanks again to all the backers old and new!". But he isn't resting on his laurels. "We would continue to appreciate your help in getting the word out as we enter the final days of the campaign!"

The campaign has six days to go. The game is not destined for the shops, so the only certain way to obtain a copy is to pledge in the Kickstarter campaign. The $25 pledge gets a physical copy of the game, and $35 gets the game and the comic (backers outside the U.S. need to add $15 for international postage).
