In March a brand new tournament will begin at http://aagenielsen.dk/ specially aimed at new players. The precise start date is unspecified, but is "starting March", so it begins any time now. Players with a low rating who have recently joined the site, or have completed few games so far, are eligible to join.

Usually I mention http://aagenielsen.dk/ as the site frequented by the best hnefatafl players, and I regularly get beaten mercilessly on there. But the beginner's tournament promises a kinder introduction to on-line play for those who haven't had much practice yet.

There, you should register if necessary, enter your user name and password and click on the "Join New Players' Tournament..." button to join.
